Favicon and install as app

Upload one square source image to generate the site favicon set, then optionally enable a web app manifest so browsers can offer “install as app” / Add to Home Screen. Configure in admin Website settings → Identity (website superadmin). There is no REST or MCP API for these controls yet.

In the admin panel

Open the website’s Identity settings. Under Favicon, upload a source image and generate the asset set. With a favicon in place, use Enable web app manifest to link manifest.webmanifest on the public site.

Accepted source types: PNG, JPEG, WebP, SVG, or GIF (max 5 MB). From that image the platform generates favicon.ico, an SVG icon, a 96×96 PNG, an Apple touch icon (180×180), and the 192/512 PWA icons. Generated favicon assets are managed here and are not listed in the Files browser. Clearing the favicon removes the generated assets from public HTML.

Install as app (web manifest)

The web app manifest is off by default. When enabled (and a favicon set exists), public pages link to a CDN-hosted manifest.webmanifest that uses absolute icon URLs, so install works on custom domains and platform URLs alike. The manifest name comes from the website display name, icons are maskable 192×192 and 512×512 PNGs, and display is standalone so supporting browsers can install the site as an app. Turn the toggle off to stop advertising the manifest.
